After completing his orthopaedic training in Adelaide, he travelled to Canada and the USA to undertake further training in complex replacement and reconstructive surgery around the hip and knee. Dr Robert Fassina also travelled to London, Ontario to train in minimally invasive arthroplasty techniques and the arthroscopic management of sports injuries to the hip and knee.

Dr Robert Baird conducted further subspecialty training in complex joint replacement surgery at St Michaels Hospital, Toronto Canada and orthopaedic trauma surgery at Vancouver General Hospital, Vancouver, Canada.

Dr Munt completed his basic surgical and subsequent advanced Orthopaedic training in Adelaide. After completing his training he undertook a fellowship based in Sydney focusing on the management of hip and knee arthritis as well as soft tissue injuries of the knee, in particular anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
